1. Vengerov & Sibelius - Auckland Philharmonic

2. Bjorn Again - the ultimate ABBA tribute

24th August, Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre, Aotea Centre

50 years on from ABBA's historic 1974 Eurovision Song Contest when 'Waterloo' catapulted ABBA into global fame, Bjorn Again are bringing all of the timeless hits to Auckland ABBA fans.

3. The Grand Auckland Salsa Ball

Dress to impress and bring your inner salsa diva at the grandest ever Auckland Salsa Ball. Celebrating it's 16th year, this is Auckland's biggest latin social dance event of the year and will feature the electrifying sounds of live 9-piece salsa orchestra Grupo Sa-son

4. Word - the frontline semi finals

17-24th August, Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre

Auckland's creative battlefield for slam poetry - WORD - The Front Line is an inter-high school spoken word poetry competition, bringing together teams of young people from across Auckland to share their stories in an explosion of youth expression. 

The purpose of this poetry slam is to engage and grow the potential of our future leaders. It is the only creative battlefield of its kind, equipping young people with poetry prowess and leadership principles for an opportunity to battle for themselves and the challenges that their generation face.

Come along with your whānau and friends to celebrate the top 14 high school teams across two semi-final heats as they battle for a chance to compete at the Grand Slam.

5. Autaia - Ngā Toi Māori (Māori Performing Arts)

21st August, Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre

Experience a vibrant night of powerful haka theatre and captivating performances by talented rangatahi from across Tāmaki Makaurau and for the first time, Te Tai Tokerau. Students from ten different schools and kura kaupapa Māori will unleash their powerful, creative expression on the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre stage, breaking into the world of performing arts with their original haka theatre performance pieces.

Created by Hawaiki TŪ and supported by Auckland Live, Autaia celebrates the richness, diversity, and importance of Ngā Toi Māori (Māori performing arts). Every school has a story to be told, and every student has a light to shine. Join us as we showcase the vibrancy and creativity of rangatahi in this one-night only Haka Theatre show - Autaia!
